What started in 2008 as a small operation in a garage on Ty Sr. and Barbara Hansen’s property has grown into a family business built around farming, machinery, hard work, and helping others.

 

Ty Sr. and Barbara opened their first location in Union Dale with a simple goal: provide quality equipment and dependable service while treating every customer like family.

 

Equipment has always been a part of Ty Sr.’s life. Growing up around machinery and excavation through his parents’ business, Hansen & Sons, he developed an early understanding of equipment, hard work, and getting the job done right.

 

Barbara brings a lifelong connection to agriculture. Growing up around animals and horses, she understands the dedication that comes with caring for a farm and keeping things moving day after day.

 

Together, they built their business around what they knew best: family, farming, machinery, and helping people.

 

As the business grew, so did the Hansen family. In 2010, they opened a new showroom in Forest City, creating a place where customers could explore tractors and attachments, ask questions, and find the equipment they needed.

 

Their three children grew up behind the counter, learning the business firsthand and seeing the long days, early mornings, customer relationships, and hard work that come with building a family business.

 

Today, that legacy continues into the next generation. Ty Jr. has worked alongside his dad for nearly two decades, bringing his own experience and knowledge to the business. His wife, Sam, is also part of the team, and their two children are already becoming familiar faces behind the counter.

 

From a garage in Union Dale to a growing operation serving farmers, landowners, contractors, and families throughout the area, the Hansen story is one of steady growth without losing sight of where it began.
